So here we are. Tonight, on the CBC news, they did a special report on what's happening in Iraq--I mean, what's happening in Washington. Everyone was on standby in case Bush addressed the nation. It was the first time since Sep. 11 2001 that I'd heard such tense broadcasting. The main anchor was talking to correspondents in foreign cities--rather, seeing if they were there, and they weren't. Instead of listening I read a little girl a story. War, if it comes, will come without me tied to the radio by an ear. I'd rather read The Sneetches for the thousandth time.
